Love Your Lake is a shoreline assessment and educational stewardship program developed and coordinated by Watersheds Canada and the Canadian Wildlife Federation. Trained Watersheds Canada staff will be assessing shoreline properties on Cranberry Lake from a boat using a standardized protocol. All information contained in the individual shoreline property reports and lake summary reports is non-regulatory. All organizations involved in the coordination and delivery of the program take privacy issues very seriously.
Shorelines are one of the most unique places on earth and people’s influences can have a huge impact on these delicate interfaces. Daily actions by all individuals can help conserve our lakes. Keeping shorelines healthy and natural is the easiest way to protect water quality. This not only helps maintain or improve property values but also provides cleaner, clearer water for wildlife and for recreational activities like swimming and boating.
