The dates are set for this years fall shoreline plantings days!
This fall, the Muskrat Watershed Council is planting another 15,000 native trees and shrubs to reach their goal of 45,000 by 2021. Without the participation of volunteers, Watersheds Canada, Algonquin College’s Office of Applied Research and Innovation and funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, they could not achieve this mighty goal. In order to be properly prepared on the planting days, we need all interested volunteers to register.
On this events page volunteers will have access to everything they need to know concerning this year’s planting days. Information such as: dates, times, locations, maps, what to bring and what to expect. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email from us with a copy of that day’s itinerary. If the date you choose to attend is cancelled due to inclement weather (ie. snowstorm, freezing rain or special weather statement) or any details are changed, you will automatically receive a email notifying you of said changes. In case you do not receive these emails, we will also be keeping volunteers up to date on the Muskrat Watershed Council’s main web page of any changes to our planting days.
We appreciate your continued support through this project and look forward to seeing you in the upcoming weeks!
