Lake Links 2009

Lake Links 2009

Ontario’s lakes are facing more and more challenges because of increased development and greater use.  It is vital that we understand our impacts on the health of our lakes and learn how to monitor and reduce those impacts.   The theme of the 8th Annual Lake Links Workshop, held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Perth Legion Hall, was ‘Measuring and Monitoring’.  With 100 participants in attendance, the event had over 20 stewardship exhibits and interactive displays featuring information about species at risk, invasive species, lake planning, water quality measuring, fisheries and groundwater.
