2021 Lake Links Webinar Workshop

October 6, 2021 – Join us at our 20th Annual Lake Links Workshop, “Take the Challenge: Connecting what we say & actually do in order to protect our lakes and rivers” on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as a free on-line webinar.  At this year’s workshop, learn how to turn what we say into action to help protect our lake environment and ecosystem.

With the continuing COVID-19 pandemic we continue to provide a virtual workshop for all of us to learn and be together. The presentations will be:

  • Connecting Our Values & Actions – Dr. Nathan Young, Environmental Sociologist, University of Ottawa
  • Dog & Cranberry Lakes Association Case Study – Janet Brown, Secretary & Chair of Water Quality Committee
  • Lake Simcoe – Lessons Learned – Dr. Brian Ginn, Limnologist, Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority
  • Gord Rodgers Memorial Award
  • Be #WakeAware video – Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Associations
  • Lake Protection Booklet Challenge – Holly Evans, Watershed Planning Coordinator, Cataraqui Conservation

Organization and monetary support of this event has been shared by a number of regional partner groups over the past year including Cataraqui Conservation, Friends of the Tay Watershed, Lake Networking Group, Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority, Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, Watersheds Canada, S.M.
