Ontario-curriculum linked Backpacks are available to borrow from the Addington Highlands Public Library thanks to a new partnership with Watersheds Canada. Each Backpack includes activities and field equipment and a locally-relevant, themed activity book. Participants keep their activity book and return all backpack items to the library for the next person to borrow. Choose from five different themed backpacks for your next outdoor adventure: geology, night sky and navigation, things with wings, forest life, and splish splash (pond life)! Both Flinton and Denbigh branches also have a new permanent collection which includes nature books for all ages, identification scarves, a microscope, a telescope, binoculars, a planetarium, and a rechargeable lantern. There’s lots to explore with your library card!
