Ontario-curriculum linked Backpacks are available to borrow from the Gravenhurst Public Library thanks to a new partnership with Watersheds Canada. Each Backpack includes activities and field equipment and a locally-relevant, themed activity book. Participants keep their activity book and return all backpack items to the library for the next person to borrow. Choose from six different themed backpacks for your next outdoor adventure: geology, night sky and navigation, things with wings, forest life, winter fun, and splish splash (pond life)! The Gravenhurst Public Library also has a new permanent collection which includes nature books for all ages, a Water Rangers testkit, snowshoes, hiking poles, toddler ice skates, snow cleats, a telescope, and binoculars. There’s lots to explore with your library card!
