Six new curriculum linked Backpacks are now available to borrow at Yellowknife Public Library thanks to a recent partnership with Watersheds Canada! Each Backpack is themed around the topics of: astronomy, fish, animals, plants, birds, and geology. Inside, families and educators can find everything they need to explore about that topic, including field tools, identification guides, local language resources, and books. The contents will help increase student engagement and identification skills regarding local species, and contribute to local environmental knowledge and action.
